SADGURU

SADGURU JAGGI VASUDEV , the profound mystic, spiritual master.
The time spent in ISHA YOGA CENTER coimbatore, was a period of transformation in my life.

INNER ENGINEERING, a course designed by SADGURU, has guided me to a state of inner peace.
my perception and perspective towards life and life's challenges have changed.
The very presence of master transforms you into a state of ecstasy.

Every bit,of ISHA CAMPUS, literally every stone, tree, plant, bird is radiating pure energy.
even the constructions  in the campus, the temples, designed by sadguru himself, echo the call of spirituality.
Blessed I am, to have been apart of the Inner engineering program, under the master himself. thanks to Lakshmi  and my mom ,who steered me in this direction.
Divine was the experience ,when I had the opportunity of  handling the stage for the event in Hyderabad,
IN CONVERSATION WITH MYSTIC, with Dr.Pratap reddy.

Tour de GOA

Let me show you the Goa, I've seen . Known for beaches and holidays Goa has another side to it. As tourist destination Goa has a lot to offer,  but  I wanted to see Panjim in a different sense, as pure ,as original, as basic as it  is. Here is my photographic journey  through streets of Panjim , capital cf Goa.
                                                      "market street"

auto rickshaw is the best transport next only to walking. My camera liked this discipline of parked autos

Change is welcome, but not entirely. look at the old coloured window pane still remaining, only a part of it is replaced. Looks like  Goans DON'T believe in the glossy glassy modern architecture. :-)

Busy traffic in the city center. Small cars , scooters and cycles too are local favorites. they don't mind small roads and one ways , but will not let the" road widening" monster gobble their beautiful buildings

that's a shop in an upscale  market. who says only neon signage is upmarket. observe the ceramic tile name plate.   Even designer Wendell Rodrick's store operates in an old bungalow

NOW  this is hep and hot and cool and chic. what fascinated me is not just the female biker, but her  kurti, the shoe the bag and above all her "bindaass" attitude

A boxer on guard to chase the unwanted photographers out. wow bowow

Wish there was a to-let board on it . the goan homes are so beautiful and simple too

A cart so perfect!!! Goa has beauty in almost every thing

After that beauty , here comes the duty of life. a pensive fruit seller

                                                                           simply Goan ;-)

"HEN WALK "!!!!   why does it have to be CATWALK and CAT on the wall always. Here's the HEN on the wall  performing the balancing act

the rains in monsoon leave Goa mossy every where. It doesn't bother them at all

Goan architecture , Something they are proud of.

                                                       colourful residential colonies in Panjim

The PROGRESS of students but Not for Destruction of buildings. A school still running in old goan construction.

GOD BLESS GOA.for keeping the old world charm alive

decoupage

I 've tried my first project in decoupage.
Interesting way to preserve favorite pieces of paper . Actually an interesting way to give makeovers  to old wooden furniture. but this one was done on a tin box. A plain old tin box gets a sea blue collage makeover.
I have collected different blue pictures from magazines and arranged them to get this look.
loved every step of it.

CONGRATS STAR MAHILA @ 1000

My dearest friend , colleague, the Star Anchor  SUMA , has achieved one of the rarest feat in Telugu television industry. STAR MAHILA , her show in Etv celebrates 1000 episodes and becomes  the first daily show to reach this mark.CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!
Suma is the real STAR MAHILA for the show. she effortlessly leads the show to successful TRPs. Her lively spirit , spontaneous humor, and bubbly energy  give the simple show a grand twist. one needs to understand  the perseverance of an anchor in delivering such consistent results. Whatever be the situation in one's personal life, when it comes the screen, being  different everyday, to reach upto expectations , to generate humor on a daily basis,  IS a huge task. I completely understand this as I've experienced it while doing my show talk of the town for Ten years. STAR MAHILA being a daily show, responsibility of anchor doubles. Suma"s charm  and energy have made her reach this milestone of 1000 episodes, and she has potential of reaching more.
Suma will go a looooong way .
PROUD OF YOU .

BEAUTY OF PAPER MAKING

HEY! RECYCLING PAPER IS FUN
Handmade paper is beautiful . The process is simple but messy . BUT... trust me the output is AMAZING. Each sheet is a work of art in itself. You cant stop falling in love with what you've created.
I've experimented with recycling paper at home recently with whatever is available at home.

these are the books that helped me
A simple tip from my experiments : lack of proper deckle and mold should not stop you from  making paper

I have used a simple sieve at home. I also tried a home made deckle and mold but sieve is a better option for beginers ( your paper will be round in shape with the sieve) . I stitched a netted fabric around an old photo frame and used another empty frame as mold.

I have used different papers for pulping . computer paper, news paper, wedding cards , envelopes, produce cartons etc. After the initial learning process, when i made a decent sheet of paper , I dared to experiment.

I've experimented with plant materials in paper . the plant fibers need to be cooked . a big process but the paper is beautiful

Book marks  and cards were my first handmade paper projects. I have plans of books ,folders, and paintings too.

One experiment Ill love to share with you all is the paper made  from  whole leaves. this took a really long three hours time to cook but this is my favorite .look at the transparency . going to use it in a lampshade project

no glue... plant fibers bond magically
lots more to come. I will share the procedure with you soon. with all the interesting stories while making paper

THAT'S ME IN MY KITCHEN .. PULP SPLASHED ALL OVER

Waiting for PANJA and SRIRAMARAJYAM

My latest project  PANJA......
My ready to release project  SRI RAMA RAJYAM......
RATCHA ... on sets

The simplicity of Sri BAAPU  garu is a lesson in itself. The initial flutter in heart of acting for this legendary director had calmed down the moment I entered the set . The very presence of BAAPU garu is calming.
Surprisingly simple and silent , he keeps his communication short and crisp. His shots are accurate and precise. At the end of the day I was amazed at the speed of the work done. The whole experience was in contrast to the regular film making process. SRI RAMA RAJYAM  is a learning experience both personally and professionally

PANJA... of power star is being directed by Vishnuvardhan.
For us Telugu audience this is a new name, But in Tamil he is known as " Billa" Vishnu, the director of the original  Tamil version of Telugu Billa.
one  line to describe him - powerhouse of energy.
The combination of  our power star and this power house is sure to give a powerful hit.
Can't say anything about my character right now, but I loved the way my character is designed and I thoroughly enjoyed working .
Thanks to PANJA  not just for an interesting role , but also for beautiful memories of interesting people {lots of them} and most of all for giving me a new  friend ,Neelima , my producer.

RATCHA is still on sets ...........
